General Collection Guidelines

Please follow these general guidelines for solid waste collection:

• Place containers out by 6 am.
• Lids must be closed.
• Leave 3 feet between containers and any other obstacles.
• Keep containers out of bike lanes whenever possible.
• Containers should be out for service no earlier than twelve hours before your collection day, and should be returned to the storage area on your property within twelve hours of collection.
• Storage locations must be within, adjacent to or behind a structure, building, fence, landscaping or other barrier that substantially screens the containers from the street or public right-of-way.
• Additional trash containers are available at a fee; there is no charge for additional recycle containers.
• You may receive one additional yard waste container at no charge (more than 2 will result in an additional fee).
• Please contact the Republic Service’s customer service department at 800-299-4898 to schedule a delivery or replacement.
• Each residence receives one set of carts, consisting of trash (black), and recycling (blue).
• Upon request, Republic Services will provide additional recycling and green waste carts at no charge. Please contact our customer service department at 800-299-4898 to schedule a delivery or replacement.
